PureMusic is designed to be privacy‑first and offline‑friendly. All media scanning, playback, and metadata processing occur entirely on your device. We do not collect, sell, or share personal data.

Google Play Data Safety Declarations

On‑device processing

All media scan, playback, and metadata processing happen locally on your device. No analytics, SDKs, or remote APIs.

No sharing with third parties

Your data isn’t shared externally. Only user‑initiated sharing via the system share sheet is possible.

No network transmission

The app does not send data over the internet, so encryption‑in‑transit is not required.

🔐

Data Encrypted at Rest: Yes

All preferences, settings, EQ/bass/immersive options, onboarding flags, and playback database are encrypted with AES‑256. Keys are generated and stored locally, device‑specific. No data is stored in plain text.

🧹

Data Deletion: Yes

In‑app deletion flows exist in Settings → Data Management: clear encrypted preferences, clear playback history/state, rotate encryption keys (old data becomes unreadable). No server‑side data exists, so deletion is immediate and complete.

What we collect

No data collection. All processing (media scan, playback, metadata) happens on your device.

What we share

No data sharing with third parties. Sharing only occurs when you explicitly share content using the system share sheet.

Data security

  • All user settings, playlists, and playback state are encrypted at rest using industry‑standard AES‑256 encryption.
  • Encryption keys are generated and stored locally on your device (device‑specific).
  • No user data is transmitted to external servers.
  • All music processing occurs entirely on your device.

Data deletion

  • You can delete all app data from Settings → Data Management. This clears preferences, playback history/state, and caches.
  • You can reset encryption keys (key rotation), which makes previously encrypted data unreadable.
  • Individual playlists can also be deleted at any time.

Backups

Device backups may include your encrypted settings and playlists. These remain encrypted.

Permissions we use

  • Storage/Media access — To scan and play audio files stored on your device.
  • Media playback/background — For reliable background playback and media controls.
  • Phone state (read-only) — To pause/resume audio appropriately during calls.

Children's privacy

The app is safe for all ages but not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect app changes or legal requirements. Updates will be posted here with a new effective date.
